Why Everything Has Been Feeling More Intense Lately (And What to Do About It)
Lately, more and more of my clients have been asking the same question:
"Why does everything feel so much more intense than it used to?"
They’re high-performing business owners, leaders, and visionaries—people who are used to handling pressure. But in the last few years, the intensity has reached new heights.
It’s not just personal. It’s collective.
We’ve always had politics, global conflicts, economic swings, and uncertainty—so why does it feel so much heavier now?
Why are more people hitting burnout, feeling overwhelmed, or questioning everything—even when they’re "successful" on paper?
Let’s break it down.
We're at a collective tipping point.
For centuries, we’ve been carrying generational stress, conditioning, and unresolved trauma—passed down through our DNA, nervous systems, and subconscious minds (represented by our bodies).
But there comes a moment when the pressure builds so much that it gets too intense, and therefore has to be released.
That’s exactly where we are.
Globally, we’re seeing systems crack. The economy is volatile, with global debt surpassing $100 trillion, exacerbated by rising interest rates and economic legacies from past crises.
Politically, the extremes are growing. The world is more polarized than ever, with deep-rooted issues—once brushed under the rug—now impossible to ignore. Ongoing escalations, such as the continued conflict in Gaza and rising tensions in Eastern Europe, highlight the fragility of global peace.
Energetically, we’re in a frequency shift. Astrologically, the Spring Equinox has just passed on March 20, ushering in Aries season and a new astrological year—symbolizing fresh starts and a surge of bold, transformative energy.
And then there’s the human layer.
We’ve been in fight-or-flight mode for years.
For some, it started in 2020. For others, it began long before that.
But the collective nervous system hasn’t had a break—and when that happens, people start to feel:
More reactive to things that wouldn’t have triggered them before.
Mentally foggy and unable to focus the way they used to.
Physically drained, struggling with sleep, adrenal fatigue, or chronic tension.
Emotionally ungrounded, feeling waves of fear, anxiety, or exhaustion out of nowhere.
This is not just personal.
So if you're not personally experiencing this, may these insights here assist you in understanding your families, team members and people on the street better.
It’s a shift in the collective frequency.
The old ways of coping aren’t working anymore.
Without getting too “woo,” here’s what’s happening on a deeper level:
From an astrological, Earth Frequency and energetic perspective, right now, we’re in a collective deconstruction phase.
The Spring Equinox on March 20 marked the beginning of Aries season and the astrological new year, bringing a surge of bold and audacious energy.
Neptune's entry into Aries after almost 165 years signifies transformative changes, encouraging us to embrace new beginnings and dynamic action.
Venus and Mercury retrogrades during this period contribute to introspection and reassessment of personal values and communication.
In addition, the Earth's own energy field has been experiencing notable shifts.
The Schumann Resonance (known as the Earth’s electromagnetic heartbeat) has shown heightened activity over the past couple of weeks. Spikes in the frequency, including a significant reading around 60 on March 24, have coincided with global energetic shifts and even natural events like earthquakes. These fluctuations in Earth’s frequency, often influenced by solar storms and atmospheric changes, can amplify how we feel emotionally and physically—especially for those who are energetically sensitive.
Energetically, humanity is being asked to wake up. The intensity is a call to pay attention—to stop running old scripts, ignoring inner knowing, and playing small.
Many people are feeling lost because the old ways of doing things don’t work anymore.
It’s not that life suddenly got harder.
It’s that we’re finally being forced to face what was always there.
Many people are feeling lost because the old ways of doing things don’t work anymore.
It’s not that life suddenly got harder.
It’s that we’re finally being forced to face what was always there.
So… What Do We Do?
Here’s the truth—this intensity isn’t here to break you.
It’s here to wake you up.
To let go of what’s outdated. The beliefs, habits, and patterns that kept you “safe” in the past aren’t going to work moving forward.
To strengthen your foundation. This means nervous system resilience, energetic hygiene, and deep self-alignment—not just “doing more.”
To get crystal clear on your truth. Because when the world is chaotic, inner certainty is the most valuable thing you can have.
When the world is chaotic, inner certainty is the most valuable thing you can have.
How to stay clear and strong in intense times:
Here are the non-negotiables I recommend to my clients right now:
Reduce input, increase discernment. As much as your industry and work / life requirements allow, be mindful of the news, social media, and external narratives you consume. Your energy is precious—don’t let fear-based content hijack your mind. Moreover, be mindful of what you consume. It's not just about the content, it's also about the energetics that come with it.
Get out of your head, and into your body. The more we get activated into fight-flight-freeze-fawn response, the more we get pulled out of body and into the mind, trying to 'logic' our way back to safety. However, this is not how it works. In actual fact, the more we're IN our body (NOT in our mind), the more certain we're going to feel - the ultimate safety.
Regulate your nervous system. Apart from standard tools such as breathwork, meditation, hot and cold pools, etc, my personal favourite tools are Take The Brakes Off Self Clearing to embody my spirit and anchor in (this is the ultimate self regulation method!), fused with my specialised approach to reflexology (easy to apply on your own hands and feet) to support my body and adrenals. Adaptogenic herbs such as Rhodiola, Withania and Siberian Ginseng (Please work with your local naturopath or herbalist to see if these would be safe for you to take) and supplements can also be a great support during big times.
Clear your energetic baggage. Stagnant emotions, old patterns, and outdated conditioning—this is the stuff that’s getting triggered right now. Addressing it and clearing it makes room for expansion. Again, this is where my unique approach of clearing and embodying your spirit comes in, so you can lead from centre - with authenticity and inner certainty.
Strengthen your own knowing. Whether through meditation, journaling, or deepening your intuition, stop outsourcing your truth. You know what’s right for you. Again, this is where my unique approach helps you access your truth and knowing with ease and speed.
Connect with nature. The earth’s frequency is a stabilizer. Time outside (barefoot on the ground, in sunlight, or in water) is more powerful than most people realize.
Prioritize real rest. Not just sleep—actual rest. Your body is recalibrating at a deep level, and it needs time to integrate.
The Bigger Perspective:
Yes, things feel intense.
Yes, the world is shifting at an unprecedented speed.
Yes, it’s easy to get overwhelmed.
But you weren’t meant to shrink in this.
You were built to lead through it.
The pressure you’re feeling? It’s asking you to rise.
The emotions coming up? They’re asking to be acknowledged and cleared, so you can return to centre with more clarity, empowerment and certainty.
The uncertainty you feel? It’s inviting you to trust yourself like never before.
This isn’t just another rough patch to “wait out.”
It’s a massive turning point.
The question is:
Are you letting the intensity drain you?
Or are you using it to refine, strengthen, and align with what truly matters?
Because your ability to lead, create, and thrive in this next chapter depends on it.
